Transmission Trends

The demand for speech and data transmission has been increasing at a steady pace in recent years, taking up more and more netweork capacity. In order to avoid bottle necks, network operators are forced to seek solutions for making better use of their network.

System Features

  • 2,4,8,16 independent channels with 64kbit/s for speech or data transmission over one conventional copper pair
  • n x 64kbit/s + 28kbit/s net transmission rate (ISDN standard) (n=2,4,8,16)
  • Interfaces for integration in management systems
  • CLIP service transmission
  • Remote or local power supply for all subscribers
  • Choice between dial-up and leased-line operation for each subscriber line

Flexible Channel Utilization

Each of the 64kbit/s-channels can be used independently for connecting different kinds of terminal equipment, such as analog telephones, modems, or fax machines. Another possibility is to use one or both channels as leased lines.

ASMOS Management Software

Network operators are required to guarantee high quality and reliability of their transmission lines round the clock  and at low costs.

This is just what ASMOS has been developed for. ASMOS includes comprehensive supervision and configuration functions. ITS straight-forward graphical user interface makes operation easy for the personnel in charge.

Errors can be detected and located fst and reliably. By means of different alarm categories the network operator can establish priorities for alarm relief measures.
